Snacks are key to keeping my twins happy.
I try my best to feed them great meals, but it seems like the snacks are really what keep them going.
So when I put together my grocery list each week, I make sure to stock back up on the best toddler snacks that I have found!
I actually found all of these favorites when we introduced baby led weaning. Ultimately, these snacks would be great for your littles learning how to eat also! Check out this post for a few more baby led weaning tips before diving into them though.
Better safe than sorry!
But as for the snacks, they really are the best toddler snacks.
They are;
CHEAP
NOT MESSY
and best of all, EASY!
The snacks are also things that you’ll likely find at your friends and families houses as well. Some of them anyways. I don’t know about you, but I never end up packing enough food when we leave the house!
Toddler Snacks I Always Have on Hand
-
String Cheese
Really any cheese. Sometimes I’ll just slice a piece off for them to nibble on or pack a string cheese in the diaper bag for an easy snack at the zoo.
-
Crackers
Ritz are typically our go to, and the best part is that they’re so versatile! You can stick a sleeve in your diaper bag for quick and easy on the go snacks, or slice up some cheese to go along with them.
-
Puffs
Our favorite ones are from Happy Baby. The twins love all of their varieties! My favorite part about most all puffs though is that the containers fit in most all cup holders making for a crazy easy on the go hack!
-
Cherrios
The staple of all generations. I always have a box somewhere. Right now we are munching on the apple cinnamon ones, celebrating the season!
-
Pouches
We don’t really eat these at home- they’re more for on the go. We’re loving the Beech-Nut varieties!
-
Nut Butter Packets
These are a newer favorite! My husband has always loved peanut butter packets, but the twins have recently started showing interest also after we were gifted some from Little Nut. The apple cinnamon variety we received is an all around family favorite!
-
Bananas
The cheap fruit that never disappoints! I guess these can get a little messy, but compared to other fruits I’d say they’re minimally messy. One of the twins favorite ways to eat them is in a peanut butter roll up!
-
Yogurt Melts
These are some of the first snacks we tried when getting started with baby led weaning. The twins are still obsessed with them! I love the Beech-Nut brand.
-
Fruit Bars
Think Nutrigrain bars. Ya know, the soft ones with the fruity middle? These kinds of bars have gone over very well with the twins! They are also one of my favorite on the go snacks so I can easily pack a few for the whole family.
-
Veggie Sticks
And last up, fried veggies. Maybe not the healthiest snack but you only live once. And they melt pretty well in your mouth so I have always felt safe feeding them to the twins.
Okay so now you have my list of the best toddler snacks, but what about yours? Did a few of yours make the list? Or what are a few that didn’t?
I’d love to hear! Kendall and Caeden are all about the snacks; I could always use some more ideas!
