Baby led weaning is something a lot of parents shy away from.

Baby led weaning means a lot of gagging, mess and anxiety.

I remember when I was first reading up on BLW and came across the gagging section I just brushed it off. But MAN! When I actually heard the gagging for the first time my stomach fell to the floor!

OMG WHAT DO I DO???

Thankfully, everything I had read previously was right. They coughed the melon right back up and all was good with the world.

But aside from the anxiety that the all too frequent gagging brings on with baby led weaning, there’s the mess.

Especially with TWO babies learning to eat.

Food was everywhere!

Why am I so thankful?

Because the products have made the baby led weaning process SO much easier. Clean up is seriously a breeze.

First off- the Sure Grip mats are killer.

I don’t know about you, but my kids seem to have some sort of super human strength and any “suction” cups end up thrown on the ground. But not these bad boys!

Not only are mats incredibly grippy- but they’re free of the BPA/PVC crap as well! So you can feel good about your baby eating their new foods off of it. Much better than when they eat cheerios off of the hardwood!

I also love that the mats are sectioned so I can easily separate different foods!

Then we have the 3D silicone bibs. Which HELLO?? Are they not the most adorable bibs you’ve ever seen?

Aside from the cuteness factor, they are my favorite for two reasons; the snap closure and the pocket.

The snap closure is the best because the bib actually stays on baby.

Caeden and Kendall are constantly trying to pull off their bibs while eating and most of the time they end up on the floor right along with the old suction cups! But the silicone snaps secure the bibs very well and so far- the twins haven’t been able to rip them off!

Then the bib’s pockets quickly made the bibs become a favorite once the babies were really chowing down.

I am not sure how, but nearly every piece of food dropped right into their pockets. Meaning, little to no treats for the dogs! And since we were eating watermelon and banana, I am thankful the pieces didn’t drop all over the floor. That would have been a huge sticky mess to clean up!

Now what about the one thing I love about BOTH products??

They are super easy to clean! Perfect for on the go!

All it took were some baby wipes and the silicone Nuby products were spotless! No stains, no mess.

Don’t want to waste the wipes? I get it. Us twin mommas do go through a lot of wipes!

Then stick the Sure Grip mats in the dishwasher! Yep. They are dishwasher AND microwave safe.
