If a Bend, Oregon Family Vacation isn’t on your bucket list, it should be.
This post is sponsored by The Camp of Bend, Oregon. Thank you so much The Camp for hosting us during our weekend family vacation in your beautiful city!
We recently stayed in the area thanks to The Camp and fell so hard for the city that we actually ended the trip with a drive around some local neighborhoods checking out the houses.
That is seriously how much we enjoyed our Bend, Oregon Family Vacation.
When it comes to planning out your own Bend, Oregon vacation, here are some things to keep in mind.
- Stay someplace scenic, like The Camp.
- Actually plan your way around the city (there is a LOT to see!)
- Don’t miss out on the many breweries
- Take time to explore
Our trip started with unpacking at the Bend, Oregon staple, The Camp.
The Camp is an actual campground located in the midst of the city with open RV spots, as well as what they’re known for. Renovated campers.
We stayed in The Maine and were very surprised by the size and spaciousness. It was the perfect size for our family of four.
While checking out the renovated camper, my husband was so impressed with the space he was busy sending pictures to his friends while I introduced the space to our twins.
The twins had a blast inside of the camper. There was plenty of space for them to run back and fourth and all around. They very much enjoyed the bunk beds and being able to hide away high up.
But truly, The Camp is a beautiful family friendly place that would be perfect for your Bend, Oregon family vacation.
Beyond where to stay though, is what to do.
Here are a few of the things we loved doing during our trip to Bend, Oregon.
Visit Mountian Air with the kids
Mountian Air was so much fun for the kids! It is an awesome indoor play space with trampolines, plenty of space to run, and tons of fun! We went during their toddler time so the twins could have the most fun with littles around their own age.
Drive up Pilot Butte
You could walk, but with kids in tow I recommend driving up the butte. The scenery at the top is breath taking. You can see for miles in a 360 view. Go early in the day so you can have more of the space to yourself.
Visit the Old Mill District
The Old Mill District is a beautiful shopping center, with ample space to walk around, nature to see, and Wheel Fun Rentals to rent out and bike along! We rented a family bike and had fun for the first while, but I’d suggest not riding too far from the rental place in case one of your littles freaks out like Caeden did. We made the mistake of riding too far away and by then, Caeden was done with the bike but we still had to pedal the rest of the way back with a crying toddler. Not recommended!
Dine at Pine Tavern
Pine Tavern was one of the places we ate at and were very impressed. They made sure the kids had their food quickly and not to mention the food was great!
Enjoy Bend Brewing Co
Out of the few breweries we made it to during our trip, Bend Brewing Co was our favorite. They were awesome with the kids, had killer food and amazing brews. Highly recommend visiting when you take a trip to Bend, Oregon!
Visit the High Desert Museum
We stopped here on our way out of Bend, Oregon and it did not disappoint! It was a great way to end our trip. There is so much to see and do inside of the museum and everything is geared towards kids. I highly recommend making the trip because it is an amazing experience!
Then explore!
During your Bend, Oregon family vacation, don’t forget to explore. There is so much to see and do inside of the area, I recommend making time during your trip to simply drive around and find places to stop. Trust me, you’ll find plenty!
Our vacation in Bend, Oregon was one for the books. If you end up planning a trip, I’d love to hear what all you do during your trip! And if you book at The Camp, make sure to mention that Twins and Coffee sent you.
Happy travels mamas!
