What is the holiday season without a December bucket list?

Mamas. Can you BELIEVE it’s already December?!
I hope you had a blissful Thanksgiving full of food and warmth. But now we’re here- the ultimate holiday season.
And there is a LOT I want to do!
For starters, I’m starting something a little crazy today called “blogmas”. You might have heard of it before. Or heard of “vlogmas” on Youtube. But essentially I’ll be sharing a new blog post with you guys everyday from now until Christmas! 25 whole blog posts in a row.
I’m tired already! But I’m super excited to be taking on this journey.
My friend Samantha over @ http://www.thevegasmom.com/ told me she was diving into blogmas this year and it gave me the push to go for it this year!
So here we are. Day 1 of blogmas and we’re talking about our December Bucket List.
I don’t know about you, but the Christmas season is my favorite season, so I love to pack as much into it as I can!
But with that also comes balancing all you want to do, with your own mental health.
You have to keep in mind that YOU too are important.
Just because you want to check this and that off of your December bucket list doesn’t mean you should do so and shove your own mental health aside.
It’s a bucket list. Not a “have to do it all” list.
So please, if anything this season, no matter what all you WANT to do, keep your own mental health in check. Check in with yourself.
Take care of yourself.
Maybe pick a handful off of my bucket list here for your family to do. You don’t have to do it all!
Then again, if you want to, all the power to ya mama!
Here is my December Bucket List:
- Rock Red Lipstick
- Create a Holiday Playlist (come back tomorrow for that!)
- Send Christmas cards
- Make a Gingerbread House
- Check out the Christmas Lights
- Bake Christmas Cookies
- Find some Snow
- Rock Ugly Sweater Day on the 16th
- Take Pictures with Santa
- Donate Toys
- Take Family Photos
- Rock Christmas PJ’s
- Start a New Tradition
Again, do what you can. Don’t go overboard here trying to do it all.
Above anything else, you should enjoy your holiday season. Not drown in it!
What do you think you’ll add to your December Bucket List?
