Who is up to jingle this year with my easy holiday sangria recipe?
I’m talking super easy. Something you can throw together last minute and serve at your holiday parties for a great time.
But let me tell you, it can be dangerous. It is smooth and goes down easy. Almost too easy, but hey, that’s what makes for a great holiday party right?!
I made up this easy holiday sangria recipe for my family this past Thanksgiving and it was a hit! And if I’m being honest, I drank way too much of it. It’s just too good.
I know ya’ll aren’t here for a big long intro, so we’ll just dive right into the recipe.
What you’re really here for.
You’re welcome.
Easy Holiday Sangria Recipe:
Long version:
Start by purchasing a cheap bottle of sangria and a nice bottle of red wine. I know, we’re making a sangria, but we’re using pre-made sangria? Yep! That is the hack. We’re making a super smooth red wine sangria mix that isn’t crazy sweet like some sangrias are, but is absolutely insanely easy to mix up!
Purchase a cheap bottle of sangria because well, we’re making a better sangria. So cheaper the better. I opted for a Barefoot sangria.
Then for the red, you want a nicer bottle. A nice smooth red wine goes perfectly with the cheap sangria.
Next you’re going to want to buy some cranberry juice, 6-7 limes and some fresh cranberries.
From there you’ll assemble! Start with the liquids by pouring the sangria, red wine and 1 cup of cranberry juice into a large pitcher.
Then squeeze 4 limes worth of juice into the mix. Now slice up the remaining limes and toss into the mix, followed by 1 cup of cranberries.
There you have it! A holiday jingle juice you’ll want to make over and over again.
Cut to the chase version:
Buy a cheap bottle of sangria, nice bottle of red wine, pour in a pitcher. Add 1 cup of cranberry juice. Squeeze in 4 limes worth of juice. Add in some cranberries and lime slices for decoration.
BOOM! Drink up.
Now when I say be careful with this DIY holiday sangria, I mean it! It is dangerously good!
What is your go to Christmas drink?
