This post is sponsored by Fred Meyer and QFC, but as always, all opinions are my own!
Are you in the newborn baby rut? Or have wild toddlers who take swan dives off the furniture the second you try to do anything?
If either of those are anything like you, then you need to take advantage of easy meal planning with meal kits!
Have you tried any of the popular meal kits before? If not, why?
They have seriously upped my game when it comes to dinner time.
I tried out meal kits for the first time when the twins were itty bitty newborns. They were up around the clock, constantly taking all of my time and energy. I had ZERO left for sitting there and trying to come up with meals for my husband and I.
Instead, we were eating out way too much. Or I’d go aimlessly walk around Fred Meyer or QFC and buy things we didn’t need and then end up making the same three meals I always made.
So I decided to go for it and get on the easy meal planning with meal kits train.
And you know what? I absolutely loved it. Even now with toddlers, the meal kits are a life AND time saver.
There is just something about twins. They are WILD. Always egging each other on. Draining my energy when there is nothing left to drain! So between them, my blog work and out of the house work– easy meal planning with meal kits is the way to help save my sanity!
Another sanity savor? The fact that I can buy my favorite meal kits at my favorite grocery store.
Yep, no more placing orders and waiting a week to see them show up at your door!
Fred Meyer and QFC now feature Home Chef curated meal kits in-store and online because they get us. They understand that we want easy, effortless meals from brands we trust.
I’ve always loved shopping at Fred Meyer and QFC stores for their awesome selection of quality foods, even more so since having the twins and really looking out for what’s best for my family.
Bringing in a partnership with a quality meal kit brand like Home Chef just makes sense. And it makes me love them even more!
But you know what I really love?
The fact that I can easily add the new meal kits to my Clicklist order and spend even less of my time putting together great meals for myself and the twins.
It just doesn’t get much easier than that.

And if you are heading in-store to snag the new meal kits, head towards the deli department. In my local Fred Meyer and QFC stores, the display was huge and really hard to miss.
The in-store selections at both Fred Meyers and QFC rotate weekly, but the ones I was able to snag right after their launch for testing were 15 minute Black and Blue Steak Tacos, Pretzel Crusted Pork Chops, and Pecan Crusted Chicken.
I wasn’t at all surprised to find that I loved the meals.
I mean, they did come from my favorite grocery chains! But the recipe cards were super easy to follow, all of the included menu items were in tip top shape, and the meals were flat out delicious.
I know what you’re thinking. Did the twins actually enjoy the meals? Did they eat any of it?
Yes, they did! But I did plate up the meals a bit differently for them.
When it comes to introducing new foods to the twins, I like to include bits of food that I know they already love. I think it helps encourage them to try more of their plate than if I was to simply give them all new foods that they haven’t even seen before.
So when it came to the meal kits, I diced up the pieces small enough for them to safely eat, and then added in some of their favorite fruits and snacks.
Here is how the meal kits turned out plated for myself and then the twins.
It is a bit more work, but that’s honestly what feeding toddlers is, right?
My favorite part about this last week was that I was able to stick to my regular grocery stores all while trying something new!
Easy meal planning with meal kits is one thing. But your favorite grocery stores like Fred Meyer and QFC offering the easy, ready to make meal kits? Now that is perfect!
