I just got back from a trip to Maui, where we stayed in the Lahaina area, and had to jump on and rave about where we stayed.
We stayed at the Kaanapali Shores resort and I cannot recommend the resort enough.
And not in a sponsored way. This post is by no means sponsored.
I simply wanted to share this awesome resort with you guys because it offered a truely once in a lifetime experience and would go back in a heartbeat.
Now, I was invited on the trip to join some family. So that meant I was traveling to Maui without the kids. At first, I was very anxious.
It was my first real time away from my babies.
But once I started diving into the resort features, along with what all Maui has to offer, I couldn’t wait!
Some of my favorite features ended up being their pools, location, and room amenities.
Let’s start with the pools. Yes. Two pools!
One is more shallow, and geared more towards families. It features a couple waterfalls, waterworks, as well as colorful lights come nighttime!
This pool was a huge hit for us to lounge around during the day.
But the other pool was located right off the beach, next to their onsite restaurant and bar, which in my opinion made it the superior pool. Surrounding the pool were cabanas you could rent out, as well as a TON of standard beach loungers that were never over crowded.
Keep in mind, we did visit in August. So other times of the year might vary!
Now after the pools, the location of the Kaanapali Shores resort was another favorite.
Not only was it ON the beach, but it was close enough to Lahaina that we could take a quick bus ride, or they offered their own transportation services if you didn’t rent a car to drive around the island.
But I mean, the location right on the beach was ultimately the best.
We had prime view of the sunset each and every night which was magical, and could easily go from swimming in the pool to hopping into the ocean.
Another thing I loved about the Kaanapali Shores resort was the room amenities.
We stayed in a suite that offered two bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room, as well as two bathrooms. It was like a home away from home! It even featured a washer and dryer.
Even though I was away from my kids during the trip, I couldn’t help but think about how family friendly the resort was.
The suite we stayed in would be optimal for a traveling family, especially a family with little ones like mine.
There are also plenty of other family friendly features inside of the resort, such as an onsite restaurant, children’s activities, space to run around and play, as well as giant games in the courtyard!
But if you aren’t planning to go with children, the resort offers some goodies for you as well. Including a full gym, $10 yoga, shopping, great views and superior service.
If you’re planning a trip to Maui anytime soon, I would highly suggest checking out what you can get from staying with Kaanapali Shores.
They offer a once in a lifetime experience!
