On a scale of one to ten, how stressful are the holidays in your home?
Mine weren’t too bad, that is, until the twins came about.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Eckrich Smoked Sausage.
Now that the chaos of twins is topped with the chaos of the holiday season, I am all about the holiday time- saving hacks.
My make ahead holiday crockpot appetizer with Eckrich Smoked Sausage is just that.
It’s a great hack for prepping for your holiday parties this season!
And it’s all thanks to Eckrich Smoked Sausage.
Crafted for convenience, Eckrich Smoked Sausage helps you spend less time in the kitchen, and more time doing what you enjoy. My quick and simple recipe with Eckrich can be put together in less than ten minutes, then stuck in the fridge before going into the crockpot. Inside of the recipe, I am utilizing my favorite Eckrich Smoked Sausage variety.
Eckrich offers a large variety of sausages that you can find in the deli section of your local grocery store. The varying flavors and forms makes them a great addition to endless meals year-round. But ultimately, they are a must when it comes to easy holiday meals.
My time saving recipe with Eckrich is perfect for prepping the night before your holiday party, so the pressure is taken off of you the next day.
I don’t know about you, but my twins always seem to be up all night and extra fussy right before a big event. Thankfully, my make ahead holiday crockpot appetizer can go straight from fridge to crockpot, helping my morning run a little bit more smoothly.
It also only takes a few ingredients, which makes the recipe a hard one to mess up. Even better, right?
Start off with gathering two packages of Eckrich Smoked Sausage and slice the sausages into 1/2-inch rounds.
Now you’re going to get the sauce together.
It’s simple. All you have to do is dump one bottle of teriyaki sauce, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and a loosely drained can of pineapple tidbits into your crockpot. I say loosely drained meaning there is still some pineapple juice, but not a whole can worth.
From there, use a kitchen spoon to mix the sauce together and then top the sauce with your Eckrich Smoked Sausage slices.
Now is when you can stick it in the fridge to get going the next day. You could also go straight to the crockpot and set on low for 4-6 hours.
Once done, serve as an appetizer with toothpicks straight from the crockpot to keep the dish warm.
Enjoy your holiday season thanks to easy recipes like this one, featuring Eckrich Smoked Sausage.
