When is the last time you got together with your mama friends and did something other than talk about who pooped where?
I am willing to guess it has been TOO long.
It had been way too long for me. So this past weekend I put together a fun mom date idea for my friends and I thanks to Beech-Nut® Naturals™!
We played games, and I shared some fun hacks that come along with using baby food in everyday life, along with recycling baby food jars for projects later on!
Baby food isn’t just for babies. Especially when it comes to Beech-Nut® Naturals™.
During the party, I passed around a few of the most popular varieties of Beech-Nut® Naturals™ and asked everyone to read the ingredients label. All of my friends were very surprised to find that they could not only pronounce everything on the label. They were all very happy to find that they’re made with fruits and vegetables just like they would use at home.
We even tasted the baby foods. Just to be sure.
And we were pleasantly surprised! Not your typical mom date idea, but I might be buying the Beech-Nut® Naturals™ just apples as a treat for myself!
Now as for hacks- there are quite a few!
When it comes to cooking, swapping in some Beech-Nut® Naturals™ is ideal. You guys know I opted for baby led weaning with the twins. But did you know I also incorporated standard baby food like Beech-Nut® Naturals™ into their BLW friendly meals?
Swapping in some Beech-Nut® Naturals™ just sweet potatoes or just carrot, corn & pumpkin is a great way to sneak in some veggies into your mac and cheese. Then flavors like Beech-Nut® Naturals™ just apple & blackberry or just pear & blueberry can be added to berry muffins or mixed berry smoothies for an extra kick.
Then when you’re done with the jars, a fun way to reuse them is to wash them out and use as cookie cutters!
The green lid makes for the perfect sized sugar cookies. They’re ideal for decorating!
Another way to reuse the baby food jars would be to clean out and paint a fun themed design. Then when dry, stick a tea-light candle inside for a creative candle holder.
The possibilities are endless.
This Beech-Nut® Naturals™ themed mom date idea was so fun to put together, and everyone had a great time. Especially with the cookies. Apparently I make really good frosting! LOL!
What is your next mom date idea? Have something in mind? I strongly suggest trying some baby food together. Seeing the looks on my friends faces when I told them that’s what we’re doing was PRICELESS!
