There are newborns, then there are newborn TWINS!
Did that news freak you out as much as it did me? I didn’t think I’d ever be prepared for my twins to come. Let alone make it through the first year!
But thanks to the many days and nights bluring together, I am standing here with some major advice.
There IS the ultimate list of newborn twin must haves, and I’m going to share them with you today.
Without these things, I am not sure if I would have survived my first year with twins, or the newborn stage at all.
They gave me the extra hands where I needed it the most and made life a little bit more manageable.
I am including links for each of the items so that you can easily add them to your Amazon Baby Registry which by the way, was my favorite way to register for my twins!

Twin Z Pillow
Just what you need for making nursing, bottle feeding and tummy time a breeze! Plus they are great loungers for newborns while you’re getting dressed!
Medela Breast Pump
You’ll likely need a pump regardless for your twins, and this one did wonders for myself!
Tall Regalo baby gate
I wish I would have started out with a tall gate. Instead, I had to purchase another gate down the line. Start smart and snag one of the best baby gates from Regalo Baby.
Regalo Baby Play Yard
Another Regalo Baby must have. The play yard! I wish I would have had one from the start. They’re super useful once your littles can move around, but equally as useful for making a safe space for baby regardless of where you are. Read more about why I love the play yard so much here.
Backpack diaper bag
It honestly doesn’t matter what kind you get. You’ll figure out how to store everything inside of it. But you need a backpack diaper bag for the functionality. Don’t waste your time with shoulder straps!
functional double stroller
Another “don’t waste your time or money” item. Buy a great stroller from the start, that way you aren’t forced to buy another one down the line. The Graco Duo Glider did us perfectly fine up until 20ish months. It was great for clicking their carseats into, then great while they were growing into the monster toddlers they have become!
Click here, as I can’t give you an Amazon Image link!
diaper subscription
This right here mamas. You have so much to worry about during those early months with the twins, let diapers and wipes make their own way to your home when you need them. I love Amazon subscribe and save! As a matter of fact, I still use them at nearly two years old.
Zipper Jammies
Another must have. Forget any of those buttons and snaps. You need zipper jammies for those double duty diaper changes to make things go quickly and smoothly.
Ergo Baby Carrier
The TwinGo is nice too, but I loved my Ergo for being able to get things done when one twin was fussy or wouldn’t sleep. I also loved it for some one on one time with each of them.
Optional Recommendation for Peace of Mind:
I’m sure you’ve heard of Owlet. They are a top-rated safety product for baby sleep! The sock has sensors that send an alert to your phone should their breathing or anything related happen while they sleep. This is a product I wish I would have purchased for my preemies for my mental well-being!
