If one year olds could ask, what would they ask for for Christmas?
I mean, I am pretty sure mine would ask for duct tape, pinecones, Amazon boxes and kitchen spoons.
But let’s get real here, those aren’t the kind of things we want to tell Grandma when she asks for the one year old Christmas list.
She wants the fun toys and games. The ones that make all sorts of noise and colors and sounds.
Grandmas want to buy the best toys for our one year olds.
So, I have created a killer one year old Christmas list you can send right on over to her. This list even has the links to get her started.
Or maybe this gift list is for you. Because you’re in the same boat as me.
“Does my one year old actually need more toys to play with??”
Girl. I feel you. As much as I love buying my one year old twins new and fun toys, they are also taking over my damn house!
But nonetheless, I am still going to buy them everything this Christmas. And I know you are too.
Keep reading for that killer one year old Christmas list, and pick out a few things you are going to purchase yourself. Then shoot the rest of the links over to Grandma and Auntie Ann!
The Only One Year Old Christmas List You’ll Need
This V-Tech Train is what we are giving the twins as their Santa gift this year. It is big enough for two toddlers to play at the same time, and has the ability to grow with them by coming with so many features!
We all love the tunnel idea for compact play that can be stored away, but I love that multiple littles can play with this one at the same time!
Then the infamous Regalo Play Yard Deluxe. I have a whole post on why I love the product, and 10 different ways to incorporate it into your life for your sanity here.
Then of course some plastic balls because who doesn’t need an indoor ball pit? Perfect excuse to encourage independent play and get your mom time out.
If you don’t have one of these play cubes already, get on it!
A play kitchen because lets be honest, they can mess with their own kitchen spoons for a change!
We love these Magnatiles. They are rated for age 3 and up, but we only give the twins the larger pieces to play with. Plus they are a great option that will grow with your littles.
Then you can never go wrong with legos. They are great for any age!
This is another ‘not recommended’ for one year olds. BUT I think it is a great way to help them learn that drawing only works on paper. I mean, it might not work. I guess we’ll see.
Here is a great idea if you have the space or a play room to help get some energy out without having to chase them around.
Hear me out on this one before getting all judgey. Yes this is a backpack with a leash. Yes I plan on trying out the leash thing with my twins because they are crazy. But also, how nice would it be if your littles carried their own snacks and diapers? Because I would love to be able to carry my purses again!
Start them young. That is all I have to say.
It’s probably time for some new bath toys anyways. Did you know those squirter toys grow mold on the inside? Just gross. Snag some bath toys you can clean!
They might not be able to use this one yet, but it’ll for sure come in handy on the back porch in a few months!
Give them a gift that is actually for yourself. A way to store all of the crap they’re getting for Christmas.
Another sneaky way to hide the toys.
More storage ideas coming soon!
But there we have it. Is my one year old Christmas list solid enough? Think your one year old would ask for these things if they could?
I think these things are exactly what my one year olds would ask Grandma for if they could!
Merry Christmas, mamas!
