My twist on classic monkey bread will bring the whole house to the kitchen when the timer goes off. The sweet smell of apples baking is hard for anyone to resist. Then add in doughy, cinnamon sugar slathered bites, and you have a home run of a weekend breakfast. I hope you weren’t looking forward to left overs!

Ingredients
Apple Mixture
- 2 large apples I used gala apples
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
Main Dish
- 1 can biscuits I used Pillsbury Grands Butter Tastin'
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 6 tbsp butter
*optional* Icing
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 splash milk

Instructions
- Core apples and dice into small chunks and place in medium sauce pan
- Add brown sugar, cinnamon, honey and vanilla to the apples
- Place sauce pan on stove and cook on medium low for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Dice biscuits and place in large bowl. I diced each biscuit into eight pieces
- Grease your baking dish, I used a pie pan
- Layer the diced biscuits and apple chunks in the pie pan. I decided on three layers
- In the same medium sauce pan, add the remaining butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and cook on low heat until thoroughly combined
- Pour cinnamon mixture over layered ingredients in pie pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
*optional* Icing
- Place powdered sugar, butter and splash of milk in a medium bowl
- Using an electric hand mixer, mix until no sugar chunks remain
- Add a splash more milk if the icing is too thick for your liking
- Drizzle over the top of your monkey bread
