My littles aren’t going back to school yet, but I’ve been looking for a cool way to give back to our amazing teachers this back to school season.
Teachers deserve it all, and with one of my own friends starting her first year teaching this upcoming fall, I decided what a better time to truly give back!
That is when I took to Pinterest for a fun school supply donation idea. I came across so many creative ways to give back, but what stood out the most was these school supply cake ideas.
So, I decided that is what we would do!
I made up a general list of what to grab to make up the cake and it turned out to be a super easy, but creative, school supply donation idea!
Here is just how I made the school supply cake!
First off, head to your local Target to snag all that you’ll need to make up the school supply cake. I found that my local Target had the best deals on school supplies, but I am sure you can head just about anywhere this time of year and grab what all you’ll need.
Shopping list:
- 1 standard tissue box
- 1 standard size Clorox wipes
- 8 boxes of 24 ct. Crayola Crayons
- 4 Post-it Notes
- 4 2 packs of Glue Sticks
- 4 12 ct pencils
- 3 Glue Bottles
- Tape
- Ribbon
Once you have gathered all you need to make up this school supply donation idea, it’s time to start assembly!
Here is a quick video how-to.
As you can see, it’s pretty simple and the school supplies fit perfectly together to make up the school supply cake.
All I did was use a bit of tape on the back of each of the school supplies to hold them in place, then taped and tied the ribbons around to secure them a bit more.
