Twins and Coffee Friday Chat

Happy Friday mamas!
I was typing out the “7” in the title of this post and can’t believe it’s already been seven weeks of putting these Friday chat’s together. We’ve been in quarantine for a very long time.
How are you guys feeling about it? I honestly don’t know if I’ll just return to life as normal. It’s abosolutely opened my eyes to the many ways we can better take care of ourselves when it comes to avoiding common sicknesses beyond just “washing your hands”.
I try not to sit and think about it too much, because it drives me nuts! Like, take a single bottle of water at the grocery store. Someone packaged it up, then another person unpackaged it at the store, put it somewhere in backstock, then another person touched it again before putting it on the shelf. From there, who knows if other customers/employees touched it before you snagging it up and sticking it in your purse on your way out of the store. Now I can trace every single one of my colds ever, lol!
That is just how my mind works. And why I just chose to shut it down and shift what I’m doing to change my train of thought.
Which is exactly what we’re going to do now!
What show is it that suggests yelling “PLOT TWIST” to change the direction of the conversation? I can’t think about it right now but, that is what we’re doing.
I posted yesterday about my least favorite comment all mothers seem to get and it was so fun to talk with you guys about YOUR least favorite comment you get in motherhood. Mine was “these are the days”. Mostly because it’s never made sense to me.
“These days” are so hard. So exhuasting. “These days” test my temper FAR too often and drive me effing nuts.
But then last week I found myself staring at my daughter, scooping up mud and tossing it around the backyard and herself, and thinking “man, these ARE the days”.
Watching the twins grow, learn, and experience new bits of life every single day is an incredible feeling and I am so grateful I am able to stand by and watch as those things happen. Some days feel like they’re never going to end, but man, they really do go by quick. Like thinking about this post being my seventh week in a row collecting all of my favorites from the week and sharing them with you guys, that has FLOWN by.
Anyways, I share more in that post if you want to go take a read through what I talk about as well as the comments! I really enjoyed talking about it.
Let’s get into this weekly round up!
