How Can Moms

Practice Daily Self Care?

I think of self-love for moms as looking at yourself as a priority. The kids have needs, as does the house, dog, work, yard. So many things in your life have needs, and so do YOU.

When your cup is full, you’re happier. Plain and simple. But beyond that, you’ll find that you’re much more content and can better handle the many stressors of motherhood.

Self Care Ideas for Busy Moms

Ahhh one of my favorite things. Affirmations. I keep a Pinterest board filled with them and recently put together an affirmation mirror that makes me smile each time I look at it.

1. Affirmations

Do you know your love language? My secondary love language is gift receiving and frankly, I take that into my own hands. Small gifts like a new book or some beautiful peonies to place on my dresser as all that I need to top off my cup.

2. Small Gifts

I talk about this often, but I love the saying of “the most productive thing you can do is unproductive”. Aka- rest! Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is to get some well-deserved rest.

3. Rest

I brought up books as a small way to gift yourself some self-love, and I truly think between books and podcasts, you can really show yourself some love.

More often than not, just like not showing ourselves the love we deserve, we skimp out on our belongings as well. How many times have to reset your toddlers closet? Now what about your own?

5. Invest in quality products for yourself
