My twin pregnancy was exhausting and hard.
But there are plenty of things I wish I did during twin pregnancy looking back now as a toddler twin mom.
Plenty. Of. Things.
And sometimes I get wrapped up in them a bit. Like when I am putting together a blog post about newborn twins and find that I only have a handful of pictures of them during that time.
While the reality is that during the newborn stage, the last thing I was doing was taking pictures. I was quite literally trying to SURVIVE and that is it. But It still makes me sad and with I did certain things during early days with the twins.
Same goes for my pregnancy. I was trying to survive. And it left me with not many pictures, big memories or amazing experiences.
If you are currently pregnant with twins, here are a few things you should do during twin pregnancy to make the most out of it!
Document with Pictures
I am talking every single week!
Have a BIG party
Take Maternity Pictures
Learn about the Risks
I wish I had known more, especially since I ended up developing pre-eclampsia.
Start and Instagram
Document it all mama!
Shop Small
So many amazing small shops, even twin focused ones!
Paint my Belly
I find it adorable!
Pregnancy Journal for Baby
I really wish I had something to pass down to my twins.
Document Ultrasounds
Write on the back of the ultrasounds how many weeks, your feelings, what you found out that day, ect.
Embrace the Cravings
Ohhh cravings. Pregnancy is the only time you can really EMBRACE it all, right?! So might as well!
As much fun as these things are, what I would suggest doing during twin pregnancy the most would be to take the time to enjoy life before your babies get here.
For real.
Enjoy long, quiet drives with your spouse. SLEEP, Go on plenty of fun dates. Live in the moment. Because soon you’ll have two little nugs who need your attention and you’ll soon wish you would have done this or that.
Embrace it now, and have a good time with it. Even when the struggles of twin pregnancy get to you.
