I’ll be honest, I am super lazy in the kitchen.
I love feeding my twins great food, but it’s gotta be SUPER easy.
That is why I started getting really into make ahead breakfasts and other meals.
They are perfect for busy mamas who have a mile long to-do list, or the moms who simply want to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible. I’m both of these moms.
Between working part time, running a full time business, and holding down the fort with two year old twins, my life never slows down.
Make ahead breakfasts for kids are the perfect way to get that morning routine rolling without feeling like you’re downing in the kitchen.
I use one day a week to prep, and it is usually grocery shopping day. That way I have all of the food right there and ready to roll.
My easy make ahead breakfasts for kids all circle around one main ingredient.
Eggs!
Ultimately all I do is make little egg & cheddar cups in the oven, and call it a day.
Then there are four different ways I serve them up.
But before we dive into the serving, here is how I make these super easy egg cups.
How to Make Make-Ahead Egg Cups:
- Start by spraying your 12 count muffin pan with some non-stick spray
- Then drop in one egg per muffin tin
- Using a fork, gently break the egg yolk and lightly whisk the egg
- Top with a little sprinkle of cheddar cheese
- Stick in the oven at 375 for about 20 minutes, or until egg is no longer runny
Feel free to mix in some fun stuff like chopped spinach, tomatoes or green peppers to jazz up the egg cups.
Okay but now that you have your egg cups comes the fun part.
The EASY breakfast assembly.
Here are my top four breakfasts done in less than two minutes.
Egg Muffin:

Scrambled with Yogurt:

With a side of Waffle:

In a Waffle Sandwich:
This one I forgot to snag a picture of. Oops! But essentially you cut the egg in half and fold up a toasted waffle around it. I like to serve, again, with some yogurt and fruit.
All of these make ahead breakfast ideas have been a real hit in my house lately, and I hope they are one in yours as well!

I’m assuming these can be frozen after they are cooked – how long does it take to reheat them?
Lynneah says
I reheat from the fridge for 25ish seconds. It will depend on your microwave but they do heat up quickly so short intervals are key!
