Guys. I have found a GEM!
Located in Hillsboro, OR, Oregon Heritage Farms is my new favorite place.
Family friendly Oregon Heritage Farms offers so much fun for the entire family at a very modest price point.
This past weekend, my mom and I took the twins out to the farm and were pleasantly surprised. I had been following them over on Instagram for a few weeks and that alone had me excited about the trip out there.
They are an Apple farm, and actually supply a great deal of the apples around the area. Honey Crisps are their specialty! To go along with the apple theme, the farm offers apple cider slushees, mini donuts, and apple tastings, along with apple butters that are all to die for. They even make them all right there!
My favorite part about the farm though was that kids activities were free.

They had a spider maze that my one year old twins crawled around on while bigger kids did the same. They also offer farm animal viewing, bean bag toss, an apple bounce house and a mini maze all for free!
The only paid options are the tractor ride around the farm, as well as an apple slingshot. Both of those are only a couple bucks, which in my opinion is very modest and well worth it!
Then of course they have pumpkins. Lots of them.
And all different varieties! Out around the farm they have a few locations set up with already picked from the patch pumpkins for you to choose from. The settings also make for some great photo ops!
If you are local to the Portland, Oregon area, I think you should go check out family friendly Oregon Heritage Farms before the season is over!
And if you can, shoot for a weekday between 3 and 5 pm and grab their happy hour deal. Half a dozen apple cider mini donuts along with an apple cider slushee!
Check out their site here for more information!
