Six months with twins is an accomplishment

The six month mark is where things started to progress really fast with the twins. They started mumbling mama, flopping all over the living room rug, craving real food, found their favorite toys, and so much more!
I honestly can’t believe the amount of growth between the two of them all within one month!
I have so much to share with you guys about this awesome time period, so I figured I would start with six month favorites!
Following this post will be how I got them to sleep through the night and how I introduced baby led weaning.
In the mean time, click through this list I’ve compiled for you guys and get ready for the changes!
If you haven’t reached the milestone yet, don’t forget to check out my post about everything you need for month three here.
Six Month Must Haves
1. Huggies Little Snugglers
Why am I starting off the list with diapers? Because I am listing ALLLLLL must haves. I’ve tried Pampers, Luvs, Honest and Kroger brand over the last six months and Huggies are by FAR my favorite.
But why?
Well to be frank- Caeden is blow out king. Yep. Poop!
Huggies are the only brand that can contain his massive poops from ruining his clothes, the couch and the carpet.
More specifically, Huggies Little Snugglers do the best job. I feel like they hold the most urine without making the twins uncomfortable.
However, I haven’t had any issues with any style of Huggies I’ve tried so far.
Pampers led to the absolute worst blow outs- I would steer clear!
2. Graco Click Connect Double Stroller
I have mentioned this stroller many times before- but I just have to again.
I don’t think I would be where I am at today without it.
And I am being 100% honest.
I use it for EVERYTHING!
I mean, it does a great job toting the twins around with out without their infant seats, has awesome storage on the bottom and all around if you aren’t using the infant seats, and it’s super easy to fold up or put together.
But my other favorite use for it is the help in carrying in groceries.
We already spend all of our time on our babies, we don’t have tons of time to go back and forth carrying in groceries.
So I started using the stroller and I get a whole trip inside in one stroller haul.
Great idea, right??
YOU’RE WELCOME!
3. Play Pen
Six months is where this bad boy has come in handy.
I love that I can move the frames to be whatever shape I need for the area. Right now I am using it in an L shape from end to end of my sectional to keep the newly mobile twins close by while I write this!
You can even order attachments to make it larger!
Score!
4. Play Mat
Now that the twins are starting to get more interested in the world around them, this play mat has been perfect.
They can both lay under it and play with hanging toys, other toys, or eachother!
It is also large enough that they can easily roll in and out of it to play as they want!
5. Bouncer
We bought this bouncer for the twins as a Christmas gift, and they haven’t used it as much as they do now!
I switch the twins between this and their play mat during play time, but I could honestly buy two.
They both LOVE it so much!
It lights up, makes noise, has attached toys all around and its height is adjustable as the babies grow.
They will sit and play in it for hours. If they didn’t need to eat and sleep- I really think they would love to just stay in it all day long!
6. Bright Starts Activity Ball
I am only going to mention a few toys on this list- but this has to be one of them.
I bought this toy because the twins are super into grabbing everything right now (faces, toes, water bottles, phones… you name it).
Now they love that it makes noise, they can rattle it, throw it, grab it with one or two hands.
Honestly watching them learn to play with it has been so much fun! I think it is teaching them a lot from it’s many features.
7. Oball Toys
The picture is of their favorite Oball toy (that they actually steal from eachother so I had to buy another) however they have loved every Oball toy I’ve brought home.
This one in particular is great for them to hold onto with both hands and toss around.
It also makes a clicking sound with you twist the two sides and the noise alone stops them in their tracks.
8. Booster Seats
I chose these seats for their convience.
I love that I can pull them out and use them wherever I want to.
They have straps so that they can sit on top of kitchen table chairs, but you can also put them on top of a table, on the floor in the living room, take them with to grandmas or out to dinner- I love them!
They are also really easy to clean and should fit the twins until they are able to sit at the table without a booster.
9. Shirt Bibs
I am not going to lie, I bought these as a joke. I wanted to see just how dorkey they would be but they turned into a favorite of mine REAL quick!
I put the shirt on the twins with out without clothes underneath and since it covers everything- they don’t get their messes all over themselves anymore!
Since they are just learning to eat, the normal bibs weren’t cutting it. I was actually just stripping them down before food time.
But even naked, I still had to clean them up before dressing them or even just give them another bath if they got too messy.
These shirt bibs have changed the game.
Now all I do is wipe their hands real quick and then pull the bib off and use it to wipe off their face.
That’s it.
Then I can easily spray it off when I clean their tray later!
10. The Best in Baby Led Weaning
I am a huge fan of mealtime with EzPz products! Honestly, their gripping mats are the ONLY ones that even my new toddler twins cannot rip off of the table. They are seriously a game-changer for baby led weaning and the messes that would otherwise happen.
My favorites that we have had the chance to try out include;
ezpz Mini Mat
ezpz Mini Play Mat
ezpz Tiny Bowl
ezpz First Foods Set

Great post! My daughter just turned 6 months, too. She can’t live without her sound machine and bouncer!

Love this! Every day must be an adventure with two six month olds. Also, great product suggestions for multiple or just one baby.

You got a great list of must haves! If i can add, you’ll be needing attractive plates too because they can eat solids already ❤
Lynneah says
ZG,
Very true! However I am just now implementing plates for them at almost 9 months. It has been finger food on the highchair or spoon fed by myself up until this point!
Lynneah says
Kelly,
It totally is! And thank you!
