Parenting Affirmations. Just in time for the holidays.
Nothing can bring you more down as a parent than the holidays, right? As much as you love your family, it’s hard not to second guess every part of your parenting when someone else always seems to have something to say.
Don’t get me wrong, they might mean whatever they say in the best possible way, but it might still hang on your shoulders and make you feel like a crap parent.
That is why I figured now more than ever we could all use a little boost to help reaffirm our thoughts about ourselves and our parenting ways.
Repeat these parenting affirmations to yourself when you feel less than.
When you wake up in the morning.
Hell, it couldn’t hurt to even set them as your phone home screen this time of year. Just as a little reminder that you are doing your best.
Which you are. You are doing your best. Espeically with the stress that this time if year brings.
You ARE doing your best. And that is good enough.
Here are 10 parenting affirmations to get you through difficult times.
- I am a GOOD parent
- I am exactly who my children need
- I am strong & creative. I will figure this out
- It’s not easy to juggle so many roles
- There is no parenting rule book, I am simply doing my best
- There are a million ways to be a great parent
- I will be kind to myself
- Parenting is challenging for everyone, it’s ok to struggle
- It’s okay to need a break
- There is value in everything that I do
Now repeat those parenting affirmations over and over again to yourself. Say them in the mirror. Repeat them until you are blue in the face and believe in yourself.
Because your kids need you. The best version of you. And the version of you is right inside.
You got this.
