Do you have any Christmas traditions?
My favorite, other thank baking Christmas cookies, is Christmas morning cinnamon rolls.
Something about the smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls while opening presents just brings me to my happy place.
Growing up, my sister and I would wake up earlier than the crack of dawn to see what Santa had left for us. Then we’d barge into our parents room and beg for it to be time to open presents because we couldn’t contain ourselves.
Eventually my parents would make their way downstairs, get some coffee going and pop some Christmas morning cinnamon rolls into the oven. Then it was time to open presents.
With some Christmas music on of course!
I’m determined to make the same sort of happy memories for my twins and that all starts with my super easy Christmas morning cinnamon rolls.
Now, I could share my favorite homemade recipe with you guys, but instead we’re going for the hack.
Yep. My favorite Christmas morning cinnamon rolls are STORE BOUGHT.
Gasp.
What kind of blogger am I??
I should be here laying out for you my favorite homemade cinnamon roll recipe, right? It’s what you’re here for.
But that’s just not my favorite for Christmas morning!
I like to keep things simple around the holidays. I mean, the holidays are stressful enough!
I’m not about adding in the extra stress of making the perfect homemade cinnamon rolls.
And you really dont have to either. Stop putting the added stress on yourself during the holidays.
Keep things simple. Do things YOU want to do. Everyone seems to make the holidays about going BIG 24/7. Baking all the cookies. Buying extravagant gifts. Going all out with decorations. Making sure to cross off everything on the holiday bucket list. But girl.
The holidays should bring you joy. So DO what brings you joy. And if that’s waking up at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning to make some Christmas morning cinnamon rolls, then here is my real favorite recipe.
But if you’d rather spend that time with your family snuggling and enjoying the now, stick to my favorite Christmas morning cinnamon rolls and buy store bought.
I know you didn’t come here for holiday advice, but I gave you some anyways.
I hope you have a beautiful, merry merry Christmas and healthy new year.
