Here are the days of drooly, fussy, angry babies.
And what is to blame? Teething.
Aside from baby’s first cold, teething was a big part of baby’s first year that I was dreading.
But ya know, life always likes to throw you two balls at one time right? Because you know what I got?
Baby’s first cold and teething AT THE SAME TIME.
Oh lord help me.
The confused, frustrated faces my twins were making was heart breaking.
They had no idea what’s going on. Just that they hurt and now they can’t breathe and they have all this goop dripping down their face.
I was trying everything to give them some comfort.
I pulled out the teething rings my mom got for them for Christmas, but they were too big for their little preemie mouths.
My twins are pretty small. They were 32 weekers and at five months old still fit in 3m onesies and sleepers.
So all of the teething toys seemed to be too big for their tiny mouths!
Not to mention trying to hold something in their mouths themselves was just plain hard.
And come on, with twins I couldn’t just sit there all day holding something in their mouths. I can’t imagine anyone with any number of kids has that kind of time and patience.
I was just about at my whits end with the constant fussy tears from the two of them.
This is of the moments where twins are just plain hard.
Most of the time finding a groove and taking care of both babies doesn’t take everything I have.
But this was not one of those times.
Over the course of a week I tried teething rings, frozen wash cloths, chilled wash cloths, soft toys, hard toys, and still. Nothing was working.
It was just getting to the point that to calm them down, I was giving them a little bit of infant Tylenol but that was the last thing I wanted to do.
I didn’t want to keep squirting medicine down their throats. Especially when they were coming down with their first colds and I needed to watch for a fever.
I ended up going to my mom group on Facebook in search of answers and was honestly surprised that SO many of them suggested Punkin Butt Teething Oil.
They all claimed that it worked like a light switch. But I didn’t think it would be that easy.
But being that I honestly didn’t know what else I could do for my twinnies, I ordered some and Prime had it here in two days.
THANK THE STARS FOR AMAZON PRIME!!
Why thank the stars? Well because the second Fedex knocked on my door I ripped open that package, washed my hands and used my pinky to get some oil out of the bottle and rubbed it on the twins gums.
And you know what?
They stopped crying.
THEY. STOPPED. CRYING.
And they smiled!!!
Seriously, it was like a light switch. Just like my mom friends promised me.
One second they were crying. Kendall actually had tears flowing down her little baby cheeks.
And the next, big grins spread across both of their faces and they gave me little giggles.
Now, I have no clue how it works. I am not very knowledgeable about the power of oils.
But whether it was the combination of the oils that helped, or just the smell of them (which is DELICIOUS) that helped my little babies, something helped and it has been a LIFESAVER!
I am not kidding. It seriously works like a light switch.
I still can’t get over how fast acting it is.
I am not sure how well it’ll work for bigger kids getting in their second and third rounds of teeth, however for this first round, Punkin Butt Teething Oil gets 5 out of 5 stars from me.
Go ahead and grab it HERE from Amazon with your Prime account and try to get through the next two days until it shows up on your doorstep.
Then rip that package open like I did and grab hold of some SILENCE!
Or at least baby giggle filled air.
Once you order it, come back to this post and leave a comment about how well it worked for your littles!
